Gregson has had a standout year in 2010, which has included personal best performances in both the 800m (1.46.04) and mile (3.52.24) and a breathtaking 3.31.06 Australian record in the 1500m. His Australian record performance in the 1500m ranks him at no.5 on the world list for 2010, one of Australia’s highest ranking performers for the year. Gregson will not only tackle the 1500m in Split but he will also go head to head in the two lap event with the new world record holder over 800m (1.41.01) David Rudisha. With this in mind it should be interesting to see if Gregson can close in on his first sub 1.45.00 of his career, which would evidently make him only the third Australian to break the 1.45.00 barrier.
